STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It is an interdisciplinary and applied approach that is coupled with hands-on, problem-based learning. We focus on these areas together because the skills and knowledge in each of these disciplines are deeply intertwined in the real world and we believe that this is how children learn most effectively. Through an emphasis in STEM, we hope that our children will be able to:
- Become acute observers of the environment around them.
- Apply the knowledge gained to make sense of the scientific elements and their inter-disciplinary relationships when interacting with the environment around them.
- Become critical thinkers and confident problem solvers.
